Use a Tea Tree Oil Nail Fungus Treatment

and get rid of your stubborn fungal infection.

tea tree oil nail fungus Using a tea tree oil nail fungus treatment to get rid of Nail fungus (Tinea Uguium or Onychomycosis are all the same thing) is a natural treatment that works great for many people.

Your fungal infection may start as a white or yellow spot under the tip of your nail. As it spreads it may cause the nail to discolour and thicken. It might even crumble at the edges.

There are several types of fungi that can infect the nail, but the type is truly not important when using a tea tree nail fungus treatment.

Tea tree oil is a well proven and powerful antifungal. It is naturally steam distilled from the Melaleuca Alternifolia leaves and has been used for century's by the Aborigines of New South Wales to treat a variety of ailments.

One of the great advantages of using tea tree oil is that it is a NATURAL antifungal, not a chemical treatment.

A recent study showed a slight increase in the risk of birth defects when antifungal DRUGS were used during the first trimester. The risks were not enormous, but when it comes to the health of my unborn child I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Here's the tea tree oil nail fungus treatment, it is the universal antifungal treatment used on the skin.

Universal Tea Tree Oil Antifungal Treatment

Apply pure tea tree oil directly to the affected are and surrounding tissue, then apply a tea tree oil enriched moisturizing cream (if possible)

Treatment can take as little as 7 days. In more severe cases it can take longer but you should be seeing results within 7 to 10 days.

Continue treatment for at least a week after symptoms have disappeared.

You can apply tea tree oil directly to the infected area as often as you wish, this will only help the healing process.

Some people who have sensitive skin can react to pure tea tree oil. If this is your case make sure to test the treatment on a small area before hand.

Generally speaking a nail fungal infection will NOT affect all your nails at the same time. If all your nails are showing signs of fungal infection it could possibly be another condition and you might want to have it checked out by your Doctor.

Once the condition has cleared you might want to consider a few helpful hints to prevent further infections:

  • Avoid going barefoot in showers or locker rooms
  • Keep your feet clean and dry (Change your socks regularly and wear 100% cotton)
  • Don't share shoes!

Something else you might want to consider is to take some natural supplements to help boost your immune system. Fungal infections have been noted to attack more readily people with weakened immune systems such as diabetics, patients with HIV and the elderly (just to name a few).

Find a highly absorbable natural Multivitamin and Mineral complex, some excellent Omega 3's and pro/prebiotics. This should help you get your immune system back up.
